Old Dominion University (est. 1930) and Eastern Virginia Medical School (est. 1973) came together July 1, 2024, to form Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. In doing so, we seized an opportunity to expand and amplify the impact of both institutions.

As one, we aim to transform the health and economy of Hampton Roads by attracting and developing a diverse pool of faculty and students and shaping health education, clinical research, and healthcare delivery in Virginia and beyond.
