Photography
With a vibrant and diverse campus, it is important to represent a variety of settings, ages and backgrounds in photography. Showing people with expressions ranging from intense focus to happiness in the time when they are reaching a personal, academic or research milestone will support our strong focus on outcomes. Strong pops of color and, when possible, natural lighting are preferred.
Similarly, candid photos are preferred over posed images. Photography should accurately represent the population of Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University and our commitment to a high level of education, research, and patient care. Photos should evoke feelings of promise, potential, and collegiality among colleagues, students, and community partners.
All photography in clinical and patient settings must adhere to applicable institutional, state, and federal guidelines and laws.
