Student Life
Students, faculty, and staff can view and RSVP for events using Monarch Groups, ODU’s student involvement portal, Events List (campusgroups.com). Please note that you need to log in with your ODU MIDAS ID to view all event details.
No. All ODU events are open to enrolled students on all campuses. Please note that you may need your ODU ID (mobile or card) or MIDAS ID credentials to access some resources.
As a currently enrolled student, your access to the Student Recreation & Well-Being Center is included in the student activity fee. Access for new, incoming students begins August 16 for the fall semester.
The Rec Well Portal allows you to access and register for many programs and services. Sign into the RecWell Portal or use the ODU Rec Well app, which is available at the Apple App Store and on Google Play.

Enrolled students on all campuses may join student organizations at ODU; however, some organizations have eligibility requirements for membership (i.e. GPA, program affiliation, etc.). A full list of student organizations with contact information is available on Monarch Groups, ODU’s student involvement portal, List Of Groups (campusgroups.com). Please note that you need to log in with your ODU MIDAS ID to view all organization details.
Currently enrolled students can register for OAP trips and fitness classes on the Rec Well Portal at RecWell Portal or use the ODU Rec Well app, which is available at the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
Intramural sports programs are included in student activity fees at ODU. The only exception to this policy is golf due to the use of an external facility. View upcoming games and register for a sport at IMLeagues.com/ODU.
Athletic event information can be found at https://odusports.com, and ticket information can be found at https://odusports.com/student-tickets. Athletic event tickets are available for students to select for football and men’s/women’s basketball on a first come, first served basis. Students have the option to claim one (1) complimentary ticket in the student section, up to four (4) guest tickets for football at a discounted rate, and up to two (2) guest tickets for men’s and women’s basketball at a discounted rate. All seating is within the student sections. All tickets are mobile. No tickets are required for men’s/women’s soccer, volleyball, and baseball. Students show their University ID at the gate and receive free entry into the venue.
Through the integration, the goal is to enhance services and experiences for EVMS students. As such, existing services on the medical campus including Academic Development; Community-Engaged Learning; Registrar; Student Affairs; Student Government Association and student organizations; and Student Health and Student Mental Health services will all be maintained. These FAQs will also highlight services on the ODU main campus to which EVMS students have access.
The Military Connection Center (MCC) is the information and resource center for all military-affiliated students. We provide information related to general admissions, Veteran Administration (VA) educations benefits for veterans and dependents, active-duty education benefits, veteran student success coaching and transition assistance, Peer Advocacy for Veteran Education (PAVE), Student Veterans of America (SVA), and connections to Army-ROTC and Navy-ROTC. Military-affiliated includes all active duty servicemembers, including the National Guard, reservists, veterans, and dependents.
For the first year, the health insurance coverage will remain the same. The provider will be AETNA. Open enrollment will begin on July 1, 2024 for an August 1, 2024 effective date. Updated rates and instructions regarding the enrollment process will be provided when open enrollment begins.
